Differences Between Part 61 and Part 141 Online Courses
Students must choose either the Part 61 or the Part 141 course based on the type of flight training program in which they are enrolled. Please contact your school or flight instructor for verification. The ground and maneuver lesson course content is the same in each course. However, a difference between the two courses is the endorsement certificate for the FAA knowledge exam.
Not sure what Part 61/141 is? It's just a reference to the FAA regulations, with a "141 school" being a training facility that's approved by the FAA. Depending on your particular situation and goals, there are pros and cons for each training option. You can learn more here.
The Part 141 course does NOT provide an endorsement certificate to take the FAA written knowledge exam. Part 141 requires students to obtain their endorsement from their Part 141 flight instructor. You will be awarded a completion certificate once you have completed all of the online course lessons, which is presented to your instructor for a logbook endorsement to take the FAA knowledge exam.
